About
about
League of Keyboards is a minimal typing test and an instant racing arena. Come in, pick a name, type.
Every run is re-scored on the server keystroke by keystroke; every number on the board comes from a real run.
words
Tests are built from the 200 most common words picked for each language. The lists were written for this project and are shared under CC0.
The test language is independent of the interface language: English and Turkish runs compete on separate boards.
keybinds
The clock starts on your first key; while you wait, the words refresh.

stats
wpm — the per-minute speed of the characters you typed correctly; every five characters count as one word.
raw — the speed of every key you pressed, mistakes included.
accuracy — the share of correct keystrokes; corrected mistakes still count.
consistency — how even the gaps between your keys are; 100 is a perfectly steady rhythm.
leagues and 1v1
Everyone climbs one global league. League points (LP) come from matches: 1v1 in the config bar pairs you with an opponent instantly. Ranked matches use English text; every other language stays open in solo tests.
The match score decides the winner: net WPM × 10 × accuracy³ × consistency factor (0.90-1.00) + longest correct streak / 2 (up to +100). Typing fast but sloppy can lose to typing clean and steady.
With no live opponent you race the ghost of a past run; a ghost is always labelled.
Solo tests give no LP; they only tune your placement.
fair play
Your browser only sends key timings; WPM and accuracy are recomputed on the server.
Suspicious runs never reach the board, the league or the ghost pool.
